Finding it tough to reach your favorite services today? A major internet outage is ongoing across many of the world’s most popular online services, restricting millions of users around the world.

Popular services like Canva, Coinbase, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Lyft, Reddit, Roku, Signal, Slack, Snapchat, Venmo, and many more began reporting issues around 2 a.m. ET on Oct. 20. Users of AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon are also reporting issues across both mobile and 5G home internet.

It’s also impacting gamers with the Epic Games Store and PlayStation Network suffering from problems, alongside titles like Clash Royale, Dead by Daylight, Fortnite, Roblox, and Rocket League.

The issues appear to stem from a problem with Amazon’s Web Services (AWS). The brand said at 5:27 a.m. ET that it had found a “potential root cause” of the issues and a fix has begun rolling out. The brand said, “We are seeing significant signs of recovery. Most requests should now be succeeding. We continue to work through a backlog of queued requests.”

Since then some services appear to be recovering. Others have continued to be down with popular outage tracking tool Downdetector showing persistent issues for services like Hulu, Roku, HBO Max, and Peloton.

Many of Amazon’s popular services are also impacted with outages across Alexa, Amazon Music, Blink, Prime Video, and Ring smart home products.

A fix from AWS doesn’t mean services will be up and running immediately. Previous outages from AWS have seen a slow but steady recovery over the following hours after a fix begins to roll out. You may need to be patient with particular services throughout today.
