Galaxy S26 Ultra rumored to get 200MP with f/1.4 aperture and a lot more camera upgrades
Shortly after Ronald Quandt shared the Galaxy S26 Ultra camera specs, Ice Universe is now shedding light on the aperture upgrades. In simple terms, the cameras could capture more light and detail than before, which means better low-light shots. Let’s hop onto what these improvements might be.
The main sensor will be a 200MP shooter with an f/1.4 aperture, capturing up to 47% more light than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This should result in clearer images in low-light conditions, with less noise and more accurate colors. The 50MP ultra-wide camera with f/1.9 aperture will improve landscape and group shots.
Telephoto capabilities may also see some upgrades, if all goes well. A 12MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and 3x optical zoom replaces the previous 10MP version. That will offer 20% higher resolution for sharper close-ups. A 50MP super telephoto lens with f/2.9 aperture and 5x optical zoom will capture 38% more light for better long-range shots in dim conditions. That’s not the best in terms of what others have to offer, but it’s definitely a nice upgrade over the current one.
There’s nothing to say about what improvements could come or not with the front-facing 12MP camera. Chances are high that it will remain at the current resolution, but let’s see if Samsung has a surprise. Apart from that, given the improvements coming to other cameras, video recording could also see improvements. That will include low-light video and more stable footage, particularly when using telephoto or ultra-wide lenses.
