Happy birthday, Glen Powell. The Top Gun: Maverick star got a revealing birthday wish for his 37th birthday from longtime friend, Full House star John Stamos. The longtime friends first bonded while co-starring in Scream Queens in 2015. The handsome acting duo’s friendship endured longer than their television series, with Stamos visiting Powell’s family ranch in Texas and the two being photographed together at events from New York to Los Angeles. In honor of Powell’s birthday, Stamos is sharing a series of steamy photos spanning the pair’s friendship. The only thing missing from the photo series is either of the actors’ clothing.
Stamos, who recently made headlines for his bold statements about Full House co-star Lori Laughlin’s separation from husband of 28 years Mossimo Giannulli, used his signature wit and sense of humor to celebrate Powell’s big day.
“Happy Birthday @glenpowell, the man who’s seen me naked more times than I’d like to admit. Love you buddy! Steam room date soon? xo JS,” Stamos captioned his social media birthday tribute to Powell. The accompanying photos include a snap of the two wearing nothing more than a skateboard and shopping bag covering what may or may not be worn underneath, a photo of the two alongside actor Taylor Lautner peeking their heads out from stall showers, and another photo of the two sitting in a hot sauna together.
Of the revealing photo share, one commenter joked, “More like happy birthday to us!”
“Have mercy,” shared another.
Another added, “What a dream photo.”
From Scream Queens to Movie Star: Glen Powell’s Movies
While Glen Powell seems like an overnight success thanks to his starring roles in blockbuster films like Twisters and Anyone But You, in which he co-starred alongside Sydney Sweeney, Powell’s road to box office domination has been a slow and steady climb.
From small roles in Spy Kids 3: Game Over in 2003 and The Dark Knight Rises in 2013, the Texas native’s career has been built one role after the next.
Though Powell portrayed astronaut John Glenn in Hidden Figures, his star turned with the 2018 Netflix rom-com Set It Up, which showcased his comedic chops and ability to carry a movie. Top Gun: Maverick cemented his box office success and movie star status, solidifying him as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after leading men.
The charming actor’s portrayal of Chad Radwell in Scream Queens is widely considered a turning point in Powell’s career. Though the series only lasted two seasons, Powell’s friendship with co-star John Stamos has stood the test of time.
