Nearly 300 employees will be laid off from Minnesota Paving & Materials, according to a WARN letter sent to the state’s Department of Employment and Economic Development.

A total of 14 facilities across the state are closing, the letter says.

Of the 297 employees slated for layoffs, 206 are represented by various unions.

In a statement to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS, CRH, the parent company of Minnesota Paving & Materials, said it is “currently in a quiet period ahead of its upcoming Q3 earnings announcement and will not be providing any commentary at this time.”
