Australia’s most beautiful new house hits the market and seeks expressions of interest!

Several weeks ago I had the enormous pleasure of attending the launch of Bang and Olufsen’s collaboration with the unfairly handsome surfboard shaper Hayden Cox, the standard Beosound A9 speaker dressed in Cox’s resin legs and fav shade of Yves Klein blue.

With a ticket price of seven thousand dollars, it was a little out of my pay grade as they say, but I did fiddle with the legs and run an appreciative nail down their smoothly finished haunches.

A one-time regular at these sorts of things, Stab used to be the darling of Sydney’s party circuit in the early 2010’s thanks to its glamorous co-founder, ie not me, I was pleasantly surprised by the easy with which Hayden Cox can shape-shift between sawing through foam at his factory on Sydney’s northern beaches and being fete at the pointy end of the city’s social set.

Kudos, obvs, to his marketing genius wife Dani who was at least partly responsible for Havaianas blowing up in Australia in the early 2000s.

Anyway, remember one month back when Hayden and Dani unveiled their new house, a neo-futurist dreamscape with its warm but technologically advanced aesthetic, very much like his in-demand and gorgeously brazen surfboards?

Well, the joint has just been listed for sale with a ticket price a little up from the blue speaker, somewhere around sixteen million Australian dollars.

The pair bought the ol beach shack for just under three mill in 2020 and subsequently turned it into the masterpiece it became, an internal lift transporting its inhabitants to the each of the house’s four levels, with its six bedrooms, five bathrooms, heated wet-edge pool, infrared sauna, cold plunge tank and even a Pilates machine to work them buns.

Be seduced, like I, by the selling literature reprinted below.
