During the promotional event of his maiden production ‘Kaantha’, a period thriller starring Dulquer Salmaan, Rana Daggubati made the official announcement.

Rana Daggubati’s Hindi production debut

As per a Gulte report, the ‘Baahubali‘ actor has been actively expanding his banner, Spirit Media, into a pan-India production house. The project will be a film adaptation of the acclaimed novel ‘Last Man in Tower’, written by Booker Prize-winning author Aravind Adiga. The film will feature versatile actor Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role and will be directed by Ben Rekhi.

Rana Daggubati made his acting debut in Hindi cinema in 2011 film, ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ and now has eyes set to bankroll a film. During the event, he also expressed that the upcoming Hindi adaptation marks a new chapter for his banner which aims to tell rooted and globally relevant stories across multiple languages.

His production house was founded in 2005, has evolved into a dynamic media company specializing in content development, production, and distribution. The company also ventures into talent management, brand marketing and blockchain-enabled digital content platforms. Apart from ‘Kaantha’, the company has several films in development, including ‘Dark Chocolate’, ‘Psyche Siddharth’, and ‘Premante’.

Rana Daggubati’s work front

On the acting front, Rana Daggubati was last seen as the lead in the web series ‘Rana Naidu’ Season 2, released in mid-2025. He now was revisited in theatre with the re-release of ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ combining both previous ‘Baahubali’ titles. The new cut will show the continuous story of Sivudu who discovers his royal lineage and fights to liberate Mahishmati, with actor including Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishna, and Sathyaraj reprising their iconic roles.
