After being suspended for nearly a week two months ago, Jimmy Kimmel Live was again suddenly canceled last night. The November 6 show was pulled last minute, and an October 28 episode of the show was rerun.
The canceled episode featured David Duchovny, Joe Keery and Madison Beer as the musical guest. No reason for the cancelation was offered from either the network or Jimmy Kimmel himself.

Though ABC hasn’t released a statement, Radar Online claimed the cancelation was due to a “personal matter” involving the show’s star.
Musical guest Madison Beer took to her social media to announce the news. “Due to unforeseen circumstances,” she wrote on X, “@jimmykimmellive needed to reschedule my performance that was originally scheduled to air tonight to a later date.”
Another statement from Jimmy’s audience team apologized for the cancelation, but didn’t offer any explanation. “Tonight’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live has been postponed,” the statement allegedly read. “Apologies for any inconvenience. Will … contact you to reschedule for a future taping. Thanks.”
In September, the show was temporarily pulled following Jimmy’s comments about the Charlie Kirk assassination. At the time, Jimmy addressed rumors that MAGA was “desperately trying to characterize” the shooting suspect “as anything other than one of them.”
Two days later, ABC suspended his show “indefinitely.” The immediate public outcry provoked conversations about bullying and censorship. Both Hollywood stars and private citizens were up in arms over the suspension, citing our First Amendment right to free speech.
In the wake of Jimmy’s suspension, Disney reportedly lost an estimated 1.7 million subscribers on its Disney Plus and Hulu streaming services. For his part, Jimmy threatened to “break his relationship with ABC forever” following the suspension. But finally, the show returned to the air on September 23 amid fan jubilation.
