Isabelle Huppert, Sandrine Kiberlain (“The Divine Sarah Bernhard) and Diane Kruger (“Amrum”) will lead the cast of French director Marc Fitoussi’s next film, “All About Corinne,” which has been boarded by French banner Indie Sales.
The company, which previously worked with Fitoussi on his 2022 film “Two Tickets to Greece,” is kicking off “Corinne” sales on the fall festival circuit.
Huppert, whose latest film “The Richest Woman in the World” opened at this year’s Cannes, stars as Corinne Maclou, a background actor who dreams of one day being more than an extra. Confident her breakthrough is right around the corner, she befriends famous actor Sandrine Kiberlain, hoping it will help her achieve her goal — but there’s still a long way to go for her to be welcomed into the closed-off French cinema family.
The rest of the cast includes Emmanuelle Bercot, Anne Marivin, Ana Girardot, Vincent Dedienne and Thomas Jolly, who all play themselves in the film.
Aside from directing films, such as “Copacabana” and ”Appearances,” Fitoussi has also helmed six episodes of the International Emmy–winning series “Call My Agent!,” including the episodes starring Huppert and Kiberlain. He also recently directed the HBO Max series “Ça, c’est Paris!”
“All About Corinne” is produced by Caroline Bonmarchand at Avenue B Productions (“Enormous”), co-produced by France 3 Cinéma and Belgium’s Beside Prods. Memento will release the movie theatrically in France.
Indie Sales’ CEO Nicolas Eschbach said, “We love how ‘All About Corinne’ explores the behind the scenes of the film star system in a very witty and layered manner. Huppert and Kiberlain shine as a dynamic duo that will surely entertain and move audiences worldwide. We are thrilled to work with Marc again.”
Indie Sales is at Toronto with the North American premiere of Momoko Seto’s Cannes Fipresci winner “Dandelion’s Odyssey.” The company’s fall slate also includes “Adam’s Sake” and “Peak Everything,” which will be the closing film at Toronto.
