One minute a 23-foot-long, 2,200-pound dinosaur was chomping on a crocodile leg, the next minute it was catastrophically buried. Thousands of years later, paleontologists dug it up and dubbed it a new megaraptor species, Joaquinraptor casali.

This unique find of fragments of jaw, skull, forelimbs, legs, and tail vertebrae makes it “one of the most complete megaraptor specimens discovered so far” and a first to give direct evidence of what the carnivore ate: apparently “ancient ancestors of crocodiles” (referred to as crocodyliforms in the article), based on a leg bone found between the lower jaw bones of Joaquinraptor (the researchers do say that the bone could possibly have washed into the creature’s mouth after it died, but based on the position and the tooth marks in the bone, they think that is an unlikely interpretation).

Finds like this—which come up over and over again—are a reminder of the truth of God’s Word and the global flood of Noah’s day.

Finds like this—which come up over and over again—are a reminder of the truth of God’s Word and the global flood of Noah’s day. Just as I explained in a recent post about dinosaur footprints, fossilization is a rare event, requiring very specific conditions such as rapid burial. And a creature preserved in the very act of chewing its dinner points to a violent and rapid catastrophe that could overwhelm and bury a creature so quickly that it didn’t even finish eating.

Evidence for the global flood is all around us, yet so many scientists miss it because they’ve been indoctrinated to interpret the evidence through the lens of slow and gradual processes. But those kinds of processes don’t form fossils—we certainly don’t observe that happening in the present!

I remember once at a conference a secular scientist said something like, “I don’t see any evidence for a global flood, all you find are fossil layers all over the world.” So blind! The evidence was staring him in the face. The violent deaths of billions and billions of creatures in rock layers all over the globe point to something very different happening in the past—a massive catastrophe.

That catastrophe was recorded by the eyewitness to all history, the Creator God, in his perfect Word. Yes, science continues to confirm the global flood of Noah’s day.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken
