Taylor Swift seemingly had an unexpected impact on Alex Cooper‘s development.
On Friday, November 7, the Call Her Daddy host, 31, appeared as a guest on the In Your Dreams With Owen Thiesle podcast and recalled loving the 35-year-old pop star and her music in her early years.
“I can’t stop staring and looking at the Fearless album behind your head,” Cooper told Thiesle, pointing out the album poster hanging on the wall. “Those songs changed my life. Like, Fearless was my era of girlhood where I was really starting to like boys…”
“Before you liked girls?’ Thiesle interjected.
“Yeah, we’re getting there,” Cooper laughed. “I just really found that I was such a loser, and she was my connector of like, ‘He doesn’t love me.’ But I almost romanticized guys hating me at one point, like I thought it was cool that they were turning me down, because then I had Taylor to listen to. How pathetic.”
“You were in love with Taylor,” Thiesle quipped. “Taylor got you through it.’
“Yeah, she was my sexual awakening for women,” Cooper confessed. “Sorry, Taylor, that’s weird.”
Thiesle also asked Cooper if she had “ever been with a woman,” and she replied “no,” but revealed that she had kissed a girl before.
“I remember in high school, I like made out with a girl just so that it was, like, we’re turning the boys on which is so pick me and so disgusting,” she recounted.
Cooper also noted that when she was in seventh grade, “I used to practice making out with my best friend.”
