Stranger Things star Winona Ryder was overcome with emotion as she spoke about her co-stars at the season five premiere in Los Angeles

The stars of Stranger Things season five dazzled on the red carpet at the premiere held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.

In honour of Stranger Things Day, the grand celebration of the final season was a trip down memory lane for the entire cast.

Winona Ryder, who portrays Joyce, the mother of Will (Noah Schnapp) and Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton), was visibly moved as she spoke about her fellow actors.

She revealed: “I feel like this season I got to spend time with all of them, which was incredibly special.

“They’re, they’re just … I’ll get emotional … They’re just … I will always love them forever.”

Holding back tears, she sang a line from Dolly Parton’s I Will Always Love You.

The touching moment was posted on Netflix’s official X account, prompting fans to rally around the actress in the comments section.

It’s sai rose commented: “Oh, Winona, you’re breaking our hearts! So proud of you and the Stranger Things family.”

@saturnslanding wrote: “Oh my god she’s not ready and I’m not either.”

ᴍᴀx chimed in: “She loves those kids so much… the cast grew up with us I can’t let this show go.”

At the season five premiere, Noah Schnapp gushed about his close friendship with Eleven star Millie Bobby Brown.

“I mean, of course Millie is my best friend for life,” he revealed to People. “But they all truly are just family to me, and it shows on screen. I mean, thank God we’re so close.”
