A day after Dallas Mavericks fans were chanting “Fire Nico”, the struggling NBA franchise has parted ways with general manager Nico Harrison.

The man who traded five-time NBA All-Star Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers nine months ago will be relieved of his duties after a three-win, eight-loss start
to the season.

That leaves them second-to-last in the Western Conference.

The decision comes a day after “Fire Nico” chants filled their home stadium during a defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks.

“This decision reflects our continued commitment to building a championship-calibre organisation, one that delivers for our players, our partners, and most importantly, our fans,” team governor Patrick Dumont said in a statement to ESPN.
