New Zealand’s Futsal Ferns have lost 3-2 to highly-ranked Thailand in a warm-up match ahead of the inaugural FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup.

After trailing 2-0 at half-time, New Zealand fought back with goals from Jordana Bremner and Jamie Evans, before losing to the side rated #4 in the FIFA women’s futsal world rankings.

The game is part of a tour to Thailand to prepare for the first-ever FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup to be held in the Philippines from November 21 to December 7, 2025.

The Futsal Ferns’ next warm-up game will be against world-ranked #1 Brazil on Thursday (NZT).
