D2C home and furnishing brand Haus & Kinder has secured INR 30 Cr (about $3.4 Mn) in its maiden funding round led by Sauce.vc, with participation from unnamed angel investors.
The brand plans to use the capital to scale its reach and drive category innovation.
“We will deploy the funds for channel expansion, especially in quick commerce, launch new product categories like curtains, and boost our leadership team with new hires,” cofounder and CEO Saket Dhankar told Inc42.
Founded in 2020 by Dhankar and his wife Kanupriya Anand, Haus & Kinder sells products such as curtains, blankets, cushion covers, swaddles, among others. Its SKU count stands at over 1,500 across 10 categories.
Haus & Kinder sells its products via its own website, online marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, and Nykaa Fashion, and quick commerce platforms.
Its revenue zoomed 2.2X to INR 65.9 Cr in FY24 from INR 30.25 Cr in FY23. Haus & Kinder is eyeing a revenue of INR 250 Cr by 2026.
Prior to this funding round, the Mumbai-based startup raised about INR 20 Cr from family offices.
The investment comes at a time when the Indian home decor and furnishings market is projected to surpass $40 Bn by 2030, clocking a 10% CAGR, driven by urbanisation, rising disposable incomes, and evolving consumer preferences.
Investors are actively looking to back brands operating in the sector to capitalise on this opportunity. In July, home decor marketplace Vaaree raised INR 17.98 Cr (around $2.09 Mn) to leverage AI to facilitate product discovery on its platform and increase brand awareness.
