Police are looking for Nerehana Tetahi Wall, 35, who has a warrant for his arrest.
Wall has connections in the Bay of Plenty, Auckland, Waikato and Wellington regions, police said in a statement.
Police are appealing to the public for information on his whereabouts.
People were urged not to approach him.
Anyone with information was urged to call 111 immediately and quote file number 250902/9473.
