The best and the brightest Australian music stars will be coming together for the ARIA awards this week.
Here’s what you need to know about the ceremony.Â
What are the ARIAs?
It’s an Australian music awards ceremony — the one with the really pointy silver trophies.Â
ARIA stands for the Australian Recording Industry Association.
But an aria is also a musical term, with the Macquaire Dictionary defining it as “an elaborate melody for a single voice, with accompaniment, in an opera, oratorio, etc …”
This year, the ceremony is being held at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.Â

When are the ARIA awards?
Tomorrow afternoon.Â
Where can I watch the ARIA awards?
The ceremony is being streamed live on Paramount+ from 5pm AEDT.Â
You’ll be able to watch the ceremony on free-to-air television on Channel 10 later that night, with the red-carpet show starting at 7pm AEDT.Â
As for the actual ceremony itself, the ARIA website just says it’ll come on “following Big Brother” instead of giving a specific time.Â
Who is nominated?
The artist with the most nominations is Ninajirachi, who is up for eight awards. Â
