What’s the creepiest thing in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2? For several cast and crew members, that honor goes to the Marionette.

First teased in the post-credit scene from the original film, meet the nightmarish toy animatronic in the new featurette below.

“I’m very excited for everyone to see the Marrionette,” said Emma Tammi, who returns to direct from a script by Five Nights at Freddy’s creator Scott Cawthon.

Based on the wildly popular video game series, the sequel hits theaters on December 5 from Universal and Blumhouse.

One year has passed since the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The stories about what transpired there have been twisted into a campy local legend, inspiring the town’s first ever Fazfest.

Former security guard Mike and police officer Vanessa have kept the truth from Mike’s 11-year-old sister, Abby, concerning the fate of her animatronic friends.

But when Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, it will set into motion a terrifying series of events, revealing dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy’s, and unleashing a long-forgotten horror hidden away for decades.

Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, Theodus Crane, and Matthew Lillard reprise their roles from the first film, joined by Freddy Carter (“Shadow and Bone”), Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park), Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Afterlife), Skeet Ulrich (Scream), and Megan Fox (Jennifer’s Body).

Jim Henson’s Creature Shop returned to design animatronics for the film.

Cawthon produces alongside Jason Blum. Executive producers include Tammi, Beatriz Sequeira, Christopher Warner, Russell Binder, and Marc Mostman.

The highest grossing horror film of 2023, Five Nights at Freddy’s opened to a record-breaking $80 million and went on to earn almost $300 million worldwide.
