Producer Giorgio Angelini and featured journalist Nelson Rauda joined Ben for the post-screening Q&A at the IFC Center.

The film also premiered at SXSW London in June and Mill Valley Film Festival in October. It will soon screen at the New Orleans Film Festival.

Here’s a description of the film: “The documentary crisscrosses the globe from El Salvador to Austin, London to Miami, and New York to the United States Senate flood to prove that not only is cryptocurrency not currency at all, but potentially the biggest Ponzi scheme in history.”

“Weaving together stories of average traders and victims, colorful crypto “visionaries,” Hollywood’s biggest true believers, anti-crypto whistleblowers, and government agents searching for solutions at the precipice of a major crash, Everyone is Lying to You for Money is an on-the-ground look at a perfect storm of 2008 Housing Bubble–level irresponsibility and criminal fraud potentially ten times more devastating than Bernie Madoff.”

Ben and Morena were some of the many stars who stepped out for the TIFF premiere of Motor City. See the photos here!
