Man on parole provides non-human urine sample for compulsory drug tests

  • November 28, 2025

The court documents showed Henderson attended an appointment on October 9, 2023.

“He provided a sample, but it was not human urine.”

He was later recalled to prison and was charged by police on November 3 with “wilfully attempting to pervert the course of justice under Section 117(e) of the Crimes Act” for providing a false urine sample under a Parole Act 2002 special condition for release.

Police stated, “Analysis of the defendant’s sample returned a result of ‘inconsistent with human urine’.”

The offender pleaded guilty on November 10 to a single charge under Section 71A of the Parole Act of failing to provide a valid urine sample. He was convicted and discharged.
