New Zealand’s Futsal Whites have taken seventh place at the CFA International Futsal Tournament in China, after beating Cambodia 8-4 in their final game.

New Zealand took a 4-2 lead into half-time and finished strongly for their second win of the eight-nation tournament, having also beaten Cambodia in their group fixture.

Indonesia won the final with a 4-2 win against Denmark to go through the tournament with five wins from as many games, the only side to remain unbeaten at the event.

CFA International Futsal Tournament

The tournament was staged at the Shijiazhuang College Sports Venue in Shijiazhuang, China.

New Zealand (FIFA world ranking #40) were drawn in Group B with Myanmar (#56), Cambodia (#126), and Indonesia (#23).

Group A featured the hosts China PR (#85), Korea Republic (#73), United Arab Emirates (#103) and Denmark (#72).
