A three-car crash involving police vehicles has blocked a road outside the Wattie’s factory in Hastings.

A Hawke’s Bay Today reporter at the scene said a red-and-black hatchback appeared to have been boxed in by two unmarked police cars near the roundabout of Nelson St North and Frederick St West
on Monday morning.

Frederick St West was blocked as of 10.15am.

A large police presence was at the scene and they were approached for comment.

There was no ambulance and no suggestion of injuries.
