Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold went on sale in Korea today, promptly selling out despite its huge price point (around $2,400 at the current exchange rate). Speaking of huge price points, we just found out how much a replacement for the inner folding screen will cost for the TriFold.
In Korea, this repair will be priced at KRW 1,657,500 at the lowest level. That’s approximately $1,122, which makes this officially the most expensive Samsung smartphone screen replacement in history, but given the type of display we’re talking about here, that’s not really surprising, is it?

Luckily, Samsung is offering buyers a one-time 50% discount on screen repairs, and if anyone ever needed a half-off deal on a repair, it’s someone who just broke the TriFold’s folding screen, that’s for sure.
The cover display will only set you back KRW 137,000 or about $92, which comparatively feels like nothing. That’s just how complex (and, thus, expensive) a double-folding screen is these days.
