Insiders told Star Magazine that Bullock is taking things slowly, but she’s starting to thrive again! “There are still hard days, when she really misses Bryan and feels lonely. She’s still adjusting to life without him. She’s still mourning,” the insider said. “She’s coming back to life, but it’s still one day at a time. Thankfully, she has some really incredible people around her to help carry it.”

Along with spending time with pals Jennifer Aniston and Keanu Reeves, Bullock has also been spending time with her Practical Magic co-star during (and after) filming the sequel. “Spending time with Nicole and some of the original film’s producing team, which was largely women, was fantastic,” the insiders added. “She wanted to have that experience and that reunion she knew would feed her soul.”

For those who don’t know, Bullock and Randall started dating in 2015 after meeting at her son’s birthday party. Soon, he became a father figure to her two adopted children, Louis and Laila, and the pair were inseparable.

She talked about their relationship on Red Table Talk via People, explaining why they weren’t going to get married. “I am someone who went through the divorce process. I found the love of my life. We share two beautiful children — three children, his older daughter. It’s the best thing ever,” she said. “I don’t wanna say do it like I do it, but I don’t need a paper to be a devoted partner and devoted mother.”

They were together until his death from ALS in 2023.
