Anjala Zaveri was born in Portsmouth, England to a Gujarati NRI family. With early exposure to Hindi cinema, she was inspired to build a career in films. She made her Bollywood debut with ‘Himalya Putra’, which also marked Akshaye Khanna’s first movie. Although the film was a flop, Anjala managed to catch people’s attention. She later appeared in projects like the Salman Khan–Kajol starrer ‘Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya’, but her journey in Bollywood couldn’t gather momentum.
