Ultra has officially announced plans for its first-ever New Zealand festival next year.
The international festival giant has confirmed its Aotearoa debut, set for 10th April, 2026 at the harbour venue Wellington Waterfront, following early December reports based on a Wellington City Council announcement.
The event will be a partnership with UltraWorldwide, WellingtonNZ and local promoter Audiology Touring. The line-up has not been revealed at this time.
“Having an event on the scale and renown as the Ultra Festival in Wellington will be a huge boost for the local economy, injecting new energy into the CBD and drawing thousands of people from around New Zealand and abroad”, Wellington mayor Andrew Little said in a statement to the city council earlier this month. “It’s time to remind people of Wellington’s place as the live entertainment capital of Aotearoa, so it’s exciting to see an event of this size here in Wellington for the next few years.”
Ultra New Zealand will precede two Australian events planned for the Gold Coast in Southport (11th April) and Melbourne (the 12th).
Ultra recently shared the line-up for its flagship Miami festival — voted No. 2 festival in the world in the DJ Mag Top 100 Festivals Poll — next March. Headliners will include Alan Walker, ARTBAT, VOYD and Afrojack, with Confidence Man, Lilly Palmer, Andy C, Bou, Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance and more to perform throughout the weekend.
