Lizzo is doubling down on her innocence after a new development in the 2023 workplace misconduct lawsuit brought against her by a group of former dancers.
In an Instagram video shared Monday, Dec. 15, the Grammy-winning singer announced that the “fat shaming claims” from ex-dancers Crystal Williams, Arianna Davis and Noelle Rodriguez were “officially dropped” in the trio’s wide-ranging complaint.
“They conceded it had no merit in court,” Lizzo’s statement read. “There was no evidence that I fired them because they gained weight. Because it never happened. Now the truth is finally out.”

Williams, Davis and Rodriguez originally claimed in the August 2023 suit that they were victims of sexual, racial and religious harassment, assault, false imprisonment and disability discrimination during their employment with Lizzo, in addition to other allegations.
