Although both Kristin and Andy stepped down from their respective roles within days of the scandal, Astronomer also took steps to control the damage. That included releasing a tongue-in-cheek commercial featuring the Goop founder as a “temporary spokesperson.”

“I was such a fan of her company, which seemed to be about uplifting women,” Kristin told The Times in a new interview. “And then she did this. I thought, ‘How dare she after the beating she got for all the conscious uncoupling stuff.’ What a hypocrite.”

She even threw out all the things she’d bought from Goop in the past.

Gwyneth was previously married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for more than a decade.

The former couple famously popularized the term “conscious uncoupling” to describe their amicable split. The phrase was widely mocked at the time, with critics calling it pretentious and unnecessary.
