A section of State Highway 29 near Tauriko was blocked this afternoon following a two‑vehicle crash that left three people injured.

Police say a unit came across the crash near Gargan Rd at 2.30pm.

Emergency services were immediately called to the scene.

St John Ambulance assessed three patients roadside
before transporting them to Tauranga Hospital in a moderate condition.

A police spokesperson said the northbound lane of SH29 is currently blocked between Gargan Rd and Redwood Lane as crews work to clear the vehicles involved.
