The nation’s newest and hottest festival, Ultra New Zealand, has revealed its impressive lineup for the inaugural event in April 2026.
Coming to the capital in 2026, the confirmed phase one artists are The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake, Zedd, Darren Styles, Nico Moreno, Oliver Heldens, Marlo, & Miss Monique.
The phase two line up will drop early 2026 and feature some further heavyweights plus a range of international support acts and local artists.
The festival, taking place on Wellington’s waterfront on Friday 10 April 2026, is Ultra’s first New Zealand event and will be hosted exclusively in Wellington. New Zealand promoter Audiology Touring has partnered with Ultra Worldwide and WellingtonNZ to bring the major festival to the city.
Mitch Lowe, Founder of Audiology Touring, says dance music acts of this calibre have never been seen together in New Zealand like this before. “Ultra New Zealand is going to deliver a world-class festival experience right here in the capital. These are huge international acts that we wouldn’t normally be able to host altogether here in New Zealand. In April, Wellington is going to be buzzing with dance music fans coming together to see some of the most famous DJs of the century alongside a world-class, multi-stage production.
“We’ve had a massive response to the event announcement right across the country with the majority of tickets selling instantly without the lineup being announced. Now, with a lineup of this calibre, we’re expecting to put the sold out sign up months in advance. Get in quick if you’re yet to secure tickets as this is not a spectacle you want to miss.”
WellingtonNZ Events & Experiences GM, Heidi Morton, says that dance music fans from every generation will be familiar with the headliners. “This lineup is stacked full of renowned artists who play the world’s biggest festivals and events, but soon they’ll be playing right here on our doorstep. We know both locals and visitors will be eager to see these acts and they’ll be more accessible than ever.
“We encourage people to make a weekend of it – experience the world-class festival on Friday, then enjoy the best of what Wellington has to offer over the rest of the weekend.”
The festival will be spread across four stages featuring EDM, house, techno, trance, drum and bass and bass music, plus a smaller stage dedicated to local artists. It is already attracting attendees from all over the country, and visitors are also expected from Australia and Asia-Pacific.
