The Brisbane Bullets are reportedly signing former South East Melbourne guard Hunter Maldonado for the remainder of the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 season.

According to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc, the Americanwas recently released by the Phoenix and has since penned a deal with the Bullets.

Hunter Maldonado has agreed to a deal with the Brisbane Bullets for the remainder of the 2025-26 NBL season, sources told ESPN. The 6’6 American guard was recently released from the SEM Phoenix, where he averaged 8.9 ppg and 4.3 apg in 16 games.

During his 16 appearances with the Heartland club, the University of Wyoming alum averaged 8.9 points, 4.3 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game.

The 6-14 Bullets host the 14-7 Melbourne United on Saturday night at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre from 7.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
