The Punjab Mass Transit Authority has issued an official clarification regarding the use of the eTransit App e-Wallet and the T-Cash physical card to address public queries and ensure transparency for passengers.
According to the clarification, the eTransit App e-Wallet and the T-Cash card operate as separate systems and are not integrated with each other. Payments made through PSID reflect only in the e-Wallet and do not appear in the T-Cash card balance.
The authority stated that the T-Cash card, issued by the Bank of Punjab, functions as a separate account and can be used for ATM cash withdrawals and shopping through Mastercard. In contrast, the e-Wallet balance is meant exclusively for travel-related use on mass transit services.
The clarification further noted that funds added to the eTransit App e-Wallet are safe and secure. However, balances from the e-Wallet cannot be transferred to the T-Cash card, and vice versa.
The Punjab Mass Transit Authority said the clarification was issued in the interest of passenger convenience and transparency, and encouraged users to refer to official platforms for accurate information regarding transit payment systems.
