JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Book and Arts Festival will be held 10 am to 5 pm, Saturday, September 20 on the University of Jamestown campus in the Reiland Fine Arts Center. The festival will feature nearly 60 authors, three creative writing workshops, author panel publishing discussion, and the release of the 38th issue of Plainsong, the University of Jamestown’s creative magazine. There will be craft activities for the kids and food trucks on site. Meet and talk with local authors and artists. Bring your own copies of books to be signed or purchase books at the event. This will be a wonderful family literary and art event.

10:00 am – 12:00 pm: “Build Your Own Journal” crafting session with The Jamestown Fine Arts Association.
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Workshop with Shannon McNear “Historical Research (and Making it Relatable)”
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm: Workshop with Kimberly Diede “Indie: Create Your Story’s Journey. How to Publish with Freedom, Purpose, and Control”
3:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Author Panel with Kimberly Diede, Jamie Stout, D.E. Carlson, Laurel Woiwode, Bill Vossler, and Rachel Heinan
4:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Plainsong Launch
