Aston Martin has offered F1 fans the first glimpse of its new partnership with Honda.

For 2026, the Silverstone-based outfit effectively becomes a ‘works’ team as it joins forces with the Japanese manufacturing giant for Formula 1’s new era.

Honda is returning to F1 as a full-time manufacturer for the new regulations, which predominantly include a 50/50 split between internal combustion and electric power.

There is also a simplified hybrid as the MGU-H has been removed, whilst the power of the MGU-K has been increased for enhanced overtaking and straight-line speed. The cars will also run on 100% sustainable fuel.

Naturally, for both companies, the fire up of a new power unit is special, as shown below in a social media post released by Aston Martin.

The year may be ending, but for Aston Martin and Honda, what they hope will be a successful partnership is only just beginning.
