One of the longest-running partnerships in mountain biking is ending. After a staggering 22 years together, Cam McCaul and Trek are going their separate ways.

McCaul started out with Trek as one of the early 2000’s best slopestyle and freeride athletes, signing with Trek all the way back in 2004. He’s grown to be a cultural force in the sport. He continues to ride with Trek and the C3 project, adding to his long library of iconic video parts. McCaul is also now one of the voices of mountain biking, commentating events like Red Bull Rampage.

22 years is a lot of memories to wrap up in one good-bye post so Trek …. kept it pretty short.

“Signed in 2004 as a dedicated slopestyle athlete, Cam McCaul helped define mountain biking and inspire a new generation through the C3 Project. From shaping early prototypes to his 20th anniversary Fuel EX, his influence runs through every Trek full suspension bike. Rider, ambassador, and joy-bringer. Thank you, Cam”

We’ll do the same, and look forward to seeing what McCaul does next.

While we’re waiting, though, let’s look back at some random McCaul video parts through the ages.

2009! Woah! Look at that hair! On both of them.

What a ride. Can’t wait to see what comes next for this legendary rider.
