Planning permission has been granted to upgrade the Certa Service Station on Castlecomer Road in Kilkenny.
The works include a small extension, internal alterations, new signage and a forecourt canopy with solar panels.
Fuel tanks and pumps will be replaced, with updated fencing and a new service area added.
The station will also be allowed to extend its opening hours from 7am to 10pm, seven days a week.
