After a Weibo-based tipster reported just a few days back that Apple is testing a prototype for its upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series with a front-facing camera module positioned in the top-left corner, a second credible source has just added to this chorus by reiterating a corner-positioned Dynamic Island for Apple’s next Pro series iPhones.

Front Page Tech’s Jon Prosser adds to the growing chorus by suggesting a corner-positioned front-facing camera module on the Apple iPhone 18 Pro series

In his latest YouTube video, Front Page Tech’s Jon Prosser has suggested that the Apple iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will feature a front-facing camera located in the top-left corner of the screen alongside an under-display TrueDepth module for Face ID. Consequently, the entire pill-shaped Dynamic Island software feature will also relocate to the top-left corner of the screen from its current top-center placement.

For the benefit of those who might not be aware, the Dynamic Island displays alerts and certain notifications, while expanding and contracting in size based on the user’s on-screen activities. Prosser claims that in its upcoming iteration, the Dynamic Island would expand out from the top-left corner of the screen when required.

This echoes a recent claim made by the Weibo-based tipster, Smart Pikachu, who disclosed only a few days back that Apple was testing an iPhone 18 Pro series prototype with the front-facing camera situated in the top-left corner of the screen.

Also, do note that Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and Instant Digital, another Weibo-based tipster, have also noted in recent weeks that the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will feature a Dynamic Island, albeit in a slimmed-down form factor. However, The Information’s Wayne Ma has continued to assert that Apple will abandon the Dynamic Island entirely for visual aesthetics based on a lone pinhole cutout.
