(NewsNation) — Blake Lively is singing the praises of her husband Ryan Reynolds, saying she does nothing without him.
In a chat on WWD’s “The Beauty of Tomorrow Podcast” promoting her Blake Brown haircare line, Lively, 38, said she routinely speaks to Reynolds about business advice and more.

“We talk shop all the time. We really are partners in everything just because we’re best friends,” the “Gossip Girl” alum told the show’s host, Jenny B. Fine.
Continuing, “We talk shop about, like, if I make the coffee, I’m like, ‘What did you like about that? What were the details?’ We’re very curious people.”

Regardless of whether they’re working on a big project or something “mundane,” Lively says she and Reynolds intensely focus on their projects.
“We’re just buddies. We’re partners. Just watching him do what he’s done and how he lives and how he operate,” the “Café Society” actress said on the show. “And also, he’s been my male tester for all of my fragrances, my formulas, my everything… so down to literally being my test strands of hair, to being somebody who I rely on for every facet of the business and my life. Nothing I do is without him.”
The couple got married in 2012 and have three daughters: James, 11; Inez, 9; and Betty and son, Olin, 2.
Blake Lively’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni
Lively’s praise for Reynolds comes in the middle of her legal case against director Justin Baldoni.
The actress sued Baldoni and his studio Wayfarer in December 2024 over allegations of sexual harassment on the set of “It Ends With Us” by Baldoni and a producer on the movie.

After Baldoni’s legal team requested in November that the case be thrown out, Lively asked the judge presiding over the case to deny the request and for the case to proceed to trial — originally scheduled for March 2026 — because of the seriousness of the case.
In December, a New York judge postponed the high-profile legal battle between Lively and Baldoni, pushing the trial’s start date to May 2026.
