The bees were allegedly taken from the Platinum Jubilee pollinator bed, which helped Amersham in Bloom take the 2022 top prize from the Royal Horticultural Society Britain in Bloom competition.

“The nature of the theft suggests it may have been planned, as damage was also caused to the posts they were fixed to.
“Please keep an eye out.”

In the comments, there was an outpouring of disappointment from the community.
Cllr Mark Roberts wrote: “Really sad to hear. I’ve always been proud of how little vandalism and grafitti there is in Amersham.
“I hope this is just an isolated one time incident.
“And maybe someone will think again and return the stolen bees.”
