Kylie Jenner made her acting debut in the A24 film The Moment, which premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival on January 23 before its January 30 theatrical release.

The 28-year-old beauty mogul showed off her acting chops in Charli XCX’s new mockumentary set during 2024’s Brat Summer, which was one of the most anticipated films at Sundance this year.

The Kardashians star, who has been making the rounds on the red carpet during awards season supporting her Oscar-nominated actor boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, played a fictionalized version of herself, demonstrating her surprisingly impressive comedic timing as she delivered her lines in a latex bikini.

In the short scene, Charli bumps into Kylie at an ultra-exclusive spa in Ibiza. Kylie, clad in a black latex bikini and a white robe, gives the singer advice on handling superstardom and life in the spotlight.

Though she was playing a version of herself, Kylie turned out a performance that, while brief, showed off her comedic timing, delivering lines like, “If you’re gonna do it, you have to, like, do it,” and “You look so good! No, no, no. I mean, like, inside” while Charli’s charcater is actively having a nervous breakdown.

Kylie also tells the fictional Charli that she’s “so jealous” of her working with Johannes, the director at the helm of her Amazon MGM-funded concert film, played by hilarious Alexander SkarsgÃ¥rd. “He was gonna do this Hulu thing, but he was busy with you,” Kylie says, referencing her family’s reality show The Kardashians, adding, “I’m not mad at you.”

In November, Kylie revealed she was “so scared” to actually do it, despite her role being “a very small part” during an appearance on her sister Khloe Kardashian’s podcast.

“I mean, I had a lot of lines, but I was just so afraid,” she admitted. “I think I used to do a lot more things out of my comfort zone, and now I’m used to being very sheltered, staying in like a, you know, safe box for me.”

She went on to say, “It’s probably the reason why I don’t share as much, just to not be judged or criticized or — years of that takes a toll on you and I think at a certain point you’re like, ‘Okay, I’m going to do A, B, and C to just protect myself’ … I was very scared to do this and very proud of myself when I did it.”

During an interview with Deadline’s Sundance studio, the British pop star gushed about Kylie’s performance in the film. “Kylie, she was just phenomenal,” the Party 4 U hitmaker said. “She totally got the assignment. She is a really great actress.”

The Moment premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 23 before opening in select theaters on January 30.
