Spider-Man’s live-action movies have yet to allow Felicia Hardy to shine. The closest the character has come to embodying her Black Cat persona was with Felicity Jones in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
However, with Andrew Garfield’s third movie being cancelled, that never came to pass. Still, the door is open for Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s story, which starts a new chapter for the MCU’s Peter Parker, to see Black Cat debut in the franchise. For those looking at how an interaction between the two could pan out, Marvel’s returning Spider-Man series fills that void.
Marvel Has Revealed What Spidey And His Amazing Friends Season 4’s Black Cat Looks Like
Tom Holland’s live-action return as Spider-Man is still many months away, but fans waiting to see more of Peter Parker could check out Spidey and his Amazing Friends. The animated series is geared towards young viewers, making it perfect for a full-on family watch party. The animated Spider-Man show recently returned with new episodes on Disney+, and many Marvel characters appear in them.
One such character is none other than Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat. The character can be seen wearing a predominantly black suit with their signature cat motif. Black Cat’s suit mixes black with yellow highlights. Felicia wears white gloves and boots with black fingertips and toes. Black Cat also sports her striking white hair, a black mask, and a white fur-like high collar.
Black Cat appears in Spidey and his Amazing Friends season 4, episode 15, “The Treasure of Billie the Pirate,” which was released on January 2, 2026.
Black Cat’s role in the Spider-Man series is that of a villain. While the character is mostly known to operate as an anti-hero in Marvel Comics, video games, animated shows, and more, Felicia has committed her fair share of heists. That is precisely her story in the new Spider-Man project, with Black Cat stealing a treasure chest, only to be stopped by Spider-Man and Spin (Miles Morales).

Given that we do not have a live-action Black Cat suit to compare the animated Spider-Man series’ version of the character to, the best comparisons come from the comics and the PlayStation game Marvel’s Spider-Man. Like the latter, Spidey and his Amazing Friends’ Black Cat design is more modern, implementing lines that break up the black.
However, the video game version of Black Cat uses white lines instead of the cartoon’s yellow. When compared to Marvel Comics, the 4-season Spider-Man series uses a classic element, the fur-like collar. The black mask with no goggles is a common design for the character across different media. Perhaps Spider-Man’s upcoming MCU movie will debut the franchise’s version of Black Cat, following the steps of the show.
