PLDT Enterprise has partnered with the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur to bring Starlink satellite internet to remote communities.
Starlink uses Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites to deliver fast and stable internet. It was first used in Camarines Sur during the May 2025 national elections. The technology helped ensure secure communication in far-flung precincts.
Now, the province is using Starlink to support online learning in rural schools. Students who previously had poor internet can now join virtual classes and access digital resources.
The partnership also includes Smart 5G postpaid plans, cloud services through ePLDT, and Google Workspace tools. These solutions help local government offices work more efficiently and stay connected.
PLDT Enterprise says the initiative supports sectors like healthcare, agriculture, and disaster response. The partnership builds on more than a decade of collaboration between PLDT and Camarines Sur. Both sides hope to expand the program to more towns in the province.
