Hayon will judge this year’s interiors entries
Joining this year’s interiors panel is internationally acclaimed Spanish artist and designer Hayon.
With a practice straddling the boundary between fine art and design, Hayon’s work typically blends bold shapes, colors, and motifs into his “serious fun” style, which is often set in a world of fantasy characters and creatures.
Notable collections include Hayon’s work for brands such as BD Barcelona, Fritz Hansen and Cassina.
Hayon has also completed a number of interiors including The Standard Asia’s flagship hotel in Bangkok and Fritz Hansen’s first ever store in China.
Miriam Fanning is principal of Australian architecture studio Mim Design
Australian interior designer Fanning, founder and principal of Mim Design, will sit on the interiors judging panel this year alongside Hayon.
Fanning’s studio works across a range of design projects from high-end single and multi-residential homes through to hospitality, hotel, showrooms and large-scale retail.
Recent projects include a cafe and bar conceived as a “greenhouse sanctuary” in Melbourne and a light-filled open-plan office renovation also in the city.
The studio, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2021, recently expanded into luxury hotel projects, styling and curation as well as custom-designed furniture.
Tamura will judge Dezeen Awards 2026
Joining this year’s design panel is Tamura, whose work ranges from product design to installations and spatial design.
Based between Tokyo and New York, Tamura’s practice considers how design can connect people, cultures and experiences.
The designer has exhibited globally at institutions including the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, Kyocera Museum of Art in Kyoto and Salone del Mobile in Milan where she presented an aluminium bench informed by the craft of kimono making.
Other notable projects include a vibrant red triangular toilet block for the Tokyo Toilet project.
Arienzo, co-founder of Lanza Atelier, will judge Dezeen Awards 2026
Co-founder of Mexico City-based Lanza Atelier, Arienzo will join the architecture panel for Dezeen Awards 2026.
Founded alongside architect Isabel Abascal, Lanza Atelier’s portfolio spans furniture and exhibitions to houses and pavilions, unified by a focus on craft, collaboration and local context, and an ambition to challenge convention.
Lanza Atelier was recently revealed as this year’s Serpentine Pavilion architect. Speaking to Dezeen, Arienzo remarked on feeling part of an era of “new Mexican architecture”, placing Mexico at the forefront of the industry.
The studio also showcased a diverse collection of furniture during Mexico City art week, featuring a wide range of furniture created from different reused materials such as rebar and sail fabric.
