The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side defeated Great Britain 24-19 in their second match to keep their World Sevens Series title hopes alive.

Vuiviwa Naduvalo proved crucial for the team as he scored a double in the final three minutes to put them ahead in a thrilling encounter against Great Britain.

Great Britain kept the pressure on the Fijians from the start and also starved them of possession in the first half as they led 7-5 at halftime.

Marcus Kershaw and Finley Lloyd-Gilmour scored a try each in the second half to give Great Britain a 19-5 lead, but speedster Naduvalo put on some fancy footwork as he burst through the defence to put Fiji ahead.

Meanwhile, Fiji lost to Argentina 31-12 in their first pool match.

Fiji will face Spain at 8.14am in their last pool match.

The Cup semi-finals will begin at 4:28am tomorrow, while the Cup final is scheduled for 8:41am.
