MrBeast’s name made a surprise appearance in a 2026 Oscars sketch, but don’t expect him to replace Conan O’Brien as next year’s host.

Conan O’Brien kicked off this year’s Academy Awards with a Weapons spoof where he played Aunt Gladys, and was chased by kids through several of the major movie nominees.

The awards were then handed out, with One Battle After Another and Sinners the big winners on the night, while there were controversies concerning Kpop Demon Hunters, the lack of David Keighley in the memoriam section, and trash that was left behind by attendees.

The sketch begins with O’Brien sitting in next to a giant statuette, having just completed hosting duties. An official from the Academy approaches him, and says “Great show Conan. Just terrific… We liked it so much, we’ve decided to make you Oscars host for life.”

The man then takes Conan to his new office while telling him his “efforts have pleased the Academy greatly. People have not stopped talking about your performance. It was really something.”

He’s escorted to ‘Suite 55’ where his name is on the door, above the words ‘Host for Life.’ Conan admires the view from his window, sits down, and sticks his feet on the desk.

A gas is then pumped into the room, and an unconscious Conan wheeled away in his chair, before being incinerated with a big grin on his face.

The sign on his door is then swapped out, with Conan replaced by ‘Mr. Beast – Host for Life.’ Which is likely a gag, but one that MrBeast himself clearly liked, as he posted a picture of said sign on X as soon as the sketch went live (see above).

While the skit itself is also a spot-on spoof of the One Battle After Another sequence in which Sean Penn’s Colonel Lockjaw is killed. Jim Downey plays the man escorting both victims to their death, while Lockjaw – like O’Brien – is poisoned in much the same way, and also in Suite 55.
