Chorus introduces capped-price fibre offer in New Zealand
New Zealand operator Chorus has launched a wholesale fibre broadband product aimed at improving access for low-income households in New Zealand, with retail pricing capped at NZD 30 per month. The product, Equity Fibre 100, provides speeds of 100/20 Mbps and is designed to target households unable to afford standard broadband services. Chorus cited estimates indicating that close to 400,000 households lack access to meaningful digital connectivity due to cost barriers.
