A new community diagnostic centre (CDC) has opened in Redhill, with the local MP describing it as a “really important step forward” for local healthcare.
The facility opened at the Belfry Shopping Centre on Thursday by health minister Stephen Kinnock and Andrew Hines, chief executive of Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.
The new CDC aims to improve access to diagnostic tests for residents and reduce pressure on East Surrey Hospital.
Reigate MP Rebecca Paul said: “This is exactly the kind of investment we need, bringing healthcare closer to where people live.”
