The Gist
Paris Hilton’s husband Carter Reum spoke out against breakup rumors and speculation that their marriage was in jeopardy in an Instagram post shared on March 18.
Public speculation began after creator Stefano Fracchiolla, who describes himself as a body language expert, posted an Instagram clip alleging that Hilton pulled away from Reum’s kiss on the 2024 Grammys red carpet, indicating marital strain.
Reum—who shares 3-year-old son Phoenix Barron and 2-year-old daughter London Marilyn with Hilton—says they are the “happiest” couple and Fracchiolla’s claims are unfounded.
Paris Hilton‘s husband Carter Reum would like to remind everyone that social media posts should be taken with a grain—or whole shakerful—of salt. On March 18, Reum took to Instagram to refute ongoing claims that his marriage to Hilton is in jeopardy. Speculation began after content creator Stefano Fracchiolla, who describes himself as an expert in body language and behavioral psychology, posted an Instagram clip alleging that the couple were facing marital strain on March 17.
The video features a clip of Hilton and Reum on the red carpet at the 68th annual Grammys red carpet in 2024. In the video, Hilton seemingly pulls away from Reum as he leans in for a kiss on the cheek. “Body Language,” Fracchiolla captioned the video. “The face of someone tremendously hurt by love.” The clip then zooms in on Reum’s face, pointing out that the “Sudden smile drop + unfocused gaze = emotional pain.”
The clip sent viewers into a frenzy, theorizing that Hilton and Reum’s relationship has been on the rocks for years, and even suggesting that the couple might be facing a divorce. Reum was quick to put rumors to rest, though, in the comments section.

“Rest assured my wife @parishilton is my one in a trillion and we’re the happiest and best couple although I appreciate everyone’s amateur psychology takes 🤷♂️😂,” Reum wrote beneath Fracchiolla’s Instagram post.
Reum added, “As many called out I just love giving me wife a kiss and she just hates her makeup being smudged on a red carpet ❤️ it’s not that deep everyone 😍😍 and yes she loves me to death 🥰🥳.” While some Instagram viewers were on board with Fracchiolla’s initial theory, others were quick to side with Reum, adding that the couple’s relationship seemed to be thriving.
“Our life together is more magical than I have ever dreamed,” Hilton said in her 2026 documentary Infinite Icon: A Visual Memoir. “Carter is my home, my safe place, my twin flame. Every day with him feels like a fairy tale, only it’s real, and it’s ours.”

In 2020, Hilton told People that she and Reum, the co-founder of venture firm M13, had known each other for 15 years. The couple had their first date after Hilton attended a Thanksgiving celebration hosted by Reum’s sister, Halle Hammond. “We just had this incredible chemistry,” the hotel heiress said of her relationship with Reum. “We had our first date and haven’t spent a night apart since. It’s pretty amazing.”
The couple were later married in a private, ceremony in Los Angeles on November 11, 2021, followed by a three-day celebration. “I love being a wife,” Hilton said in a January 2022 interview with People. “We’ve been so close and inseparable the past two years together, so it’s always felt like we’re married…I’m so excited for this next chapter in our life and to start a family together. [He’s] my best friend, so it feels so safe getting to grow together.”
