In 2025, 28% of Americans are actively searching for new jobs, the highest level since 2014, reflecting shifts in economic and technological conditions. But the scarcity of jobs is pushing many into “job hugging” (staying put) and others, especially Gen Z, into “job situationships” (short job stints and sudden exits). Whether restless employees are hugging tight or jumping into temporary stints, a new study evaluates their online interest across 50 popular professions to discover Click Intelligence’s 10 desired job titles that attract them.

These jobs are faster to attain, more affordable and offer practical skills that employers are looking for. She adds that pursuing job titles that don’t require a four-year degree is a smart way to build a rewarding career without a large amount of time or cost.
