Today on The Country radio show, host Jamie Mackay catches up with Jim Ward, the former manager of New Zealand’s largest farm, Molesworth Station, to find out why he’s been involved in a proposal to see it run as a not-for-profit with heritage status.

Supporters of a proposal to make Molesworth a “station for the nation” have taken it a step further by meeting the Department of Conservation’s March 20 deadline for expressions of interest in the station’s lease.

Former Molesworth Station manager Jim Ward is spearheading a proposal to have it run by a charitable trust as a self-funding farm operation, preserving the station’s high-value natural and historical assets.
