Jen Affleck and her husband Zac Affleck are reportedly leaving The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives for a fancy new spin-off. While Hulu hasn’t officially announced the news, People reports that the couple will join nine fresh faces for Mormon Wives, Orange County. In fact, it looks like Zac and Jen have already moved to California based off the below post…and Zac is busy spilling tea the comments.
In response to one follower who noted he was “pretty adamant” about not wanting to move to California in Mormon Wives Season 4, Zac said “That’s for storyline. Contrary to what you might have seen I loved DWTS experience and California has been my dream place to live my entire life.”
He then responded to a fan asking about how much dialogue was “controlled” by the show in each episode, and said “I’m not going to complain because we have a lot of what we have because of the show. But is it our reality? Not even close.”
As a reminder, this spin-off comes amid a production pause on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives due to an open “domestic assault investigation” between Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen.
An insider told People that “The girls are very overwhelmed. They all banded together and they don’t want to come back right now. They were just getting tired of Taylor, honestly. […] They kind of all decided, as a unit, that they’re taking the production pause, that they don’t want to film right now. I don’t think they care about her really right now. They’re just kind of like, ‘We’re done for right now.'”
